Ogres, half giants, lesser giants, Bogda, these are the names of one of the enemies of the Amear. In the lore of The People, Jotun are one of the five races that are more predisposed to the mental power of the Ghur. As if this were not enough to terrify and cause hatred, Jotun are also much stronger than a human, capable of mighty feats of strength, and possessing of a desire to use this power to kill and destroy. Even without the Ghur, Jotun would be a dark terror to all hnau.
Jotun are beasts by definition, yet they do not typically join a pack or seek out other minions of the dread lords. They will only gather with other beasts at the demand of the Ghur, and even then, they are the least willing of the pack’s soldiers. This does not mean, however, that they do not serve when called. Indeed, it is the Jotun that adds the bulk power to the fist of chaos. Jotun are also the most craft driven of the five races that make up the beasts, being capable of crafting detailed and complex tools if given the time and solitude. Why they are predisposed to serve the Ghur is not understood.
